Preparation

• Contact us with any questions and to schedule a complimentary pre-filming visit to help you or your loved one feel prepared and comfortable.

• Purchase directly from our site and fill out the contact form, call us, or send us an email to schedule.

• We will provide a well thought out preparation sheet which will help you get the most out of your memoir and help you feel relaxed and ready to go.

• You can start thinking about what you want to share; life events, childhood, family history, births, traditions, marriage, career, philosophy, travel, etc. and gather your photos and anything else you want to include.

• You can take your time to decide if you want to have a child/friend or our professional and friendly staff help guide the conversation.

Filming

• We will spend about 3-4 hours with you in your home, depending on the package you choose. We like to get some additional footage showcasing a hobby or passion if you would like. We can take as many breaks as wanted, and you are totally in control. You will be surprised how easy it is!

Editing 

Our professional editor will weave together:

•  your interview

•  photos we have converted to high quality digital format

• digital artifacts/maps, heirlooms/family tree

• memorable music

• converted VHS videos if you desire

• Each of your photos and other photo effects will be placed at the perfect moment when stories are told with beautiful transitions and sensitivity. This loving and extensive editing process is a nuanced work of art and is the most time consuming piece of the memoir process.

 

 

Special Delivery

• Your final product will be ready between 3-4 weeks after filming. Before receiving the final version, you will receive a rough draft for your approval.

• Many clients choose to celebrate with their loved ones for the unveiling.
